Welcome to the 5th Grade Math review class. In the next 8 weeks, students will prepare for 5th 5th-grades or review what they learned in the past year. This class is a springboard or dust cleaner for students who want to excel in math. 

This class will give students confidence during the next academic year. They will be able to keep pace in math classes.

During this 8-week course, we will learn and review key concepts taught in 5th grade. We review math topics in class using the modeling method. Students work on problems and have their work reviewed in class. They will build fluency in problem-solving modeled and practiced in and out of class. 

Students are encouraged to bring a book and pen or other writing material to class for problem-solving into 5th or 6th grade with confidence to crush math. 
There is homework.

Week 5: Decimals - Addition and Subtraction
Week 6: Decimals - Multiplication and Division
Week 7: Geometry: Perimeter (Rectangle and other Quadrilaterals, Triangle, and Circle)
Week 8: Geometry: Area (Rectangle, Triangle and Circle)
