Calling all writers - struggling and thriving alike! Do you have a struggling writer who needs support with improving their writing, structure and/or creativity? Or, is your writer thriving and would like an opportunity to continue perfecting their work? Well, this is the class for you! Students will improve their writing by going through the writing process and writing their own persuasive 5 paragraph essay. In addition to that, students will learn about specific beneficial writing strategies to make their work more engaging to read. Specifically, the following skills/topics will be covered, taught, and practiced: all about essays, brainstorming, topic development, thesis development, planning, structure, engaging beginnings/hooks, drafting, including strong examples to support, including more detail, including transitional words, editing, and revising.
