[1st of four 9-week sessions] This course takes a modified, thematic approach to 4th Grade Science. It offers content that is typically taught during the first 9-weeks in a traditional 4th grade science class. The students will learn to develop and create a model of an organism's life cycle and explain some of the important events, such as birth, growth, reproduction, and death. Students will improve their understanding of the world around them. They will improve their understanding of the impact of plant and animal structures on survival, growth, behavior, and reproduction. Engaged students will improve their ability to respond to state assessment questions on 4th grade science content.
I am a 22-year licensed Instructor. I have been privileged to instruct thousands of students. 96% of my engaged students are successful on state assessments. I hold a Science Degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. Currently, In addition, I have a Master’s in Instructional Technology pending with a 4.00 GPA. I have taught all science courses from grade Kindergarten to post-graduate courses to include Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, AP Biology, Microbiology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Physical Science, Environmental Science and many others.
Science notebook, pencil or pen. Lab materials will be requested as needed.
