每週 1 小時. The students will have homework after each class. They will be asked recall and open-ended questions where they will have to apply what they learned to correctly answer the question. I ask that the students review what was what they learned every day. Optional: I ask that the students dedicate 10-15 minutes of study time each day.評估

[2nd of four 9-week sessions]
This course takes a modified, thematic approach to 3rd Grade Science. It offers content that is typically taught during the second 9-weeks in a traditional 3rd grade science class. The students will be introduced to the physical science portion of the course. They will learn about the properties of matter and force. The following topics will be discussed:
- Electric interactions
- Static Electricity
- Forces & Interaction
- Balanced
- Unbalanced Forces
- Motion
- Magnetic Interactions
The students will learn more about the world around them. They will learn about force and motion. This section will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, lecture, and open-ended questions. Students will learn the basics of magnetism and electricity. This section will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, lecture, and open-ended questions. The students will learn about motion, motion theory and all interactions. The students will learn to critically think and develop possible solutions. This section will be taught using pictures, video clips, slides, discussions, lecture, and open-ended questions. The students do not need to have any prior knowledge. The third 9-weeks course will pick up where this course leaves off.學習目標
Students will improve their understanding of force and motion. They will improve their understanding of physical science. Engaged students will improve their ability to respond to state assessment questions on 3rd grade science content.
