Homework

These assignments will typically require 30-60 minutes of the learner's time per subject per day, leading to a total of around 2-4 hours a day outside of class time depending on how fast or slow the learner works.Assessment

頻率: 包括細節: Grades will be given for all graded projects and compiled into a progress report in December and a final report card in May to shower master in Reading, ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
I will supply the curriculum and printable materials, all your learner needs is a printer, paper, and something to write with. Each week your learner will have a list of optional projects, some of which require other common household items (ex: a box and foil to make a solar oven). This is optional and not a necessity, but will enhance your learner's experience!
Our social studies lessons will occasionally cover some hard subjects, such as civil rights, European exploration and colonization, and the mistreatment of Indigenous peoples in North America. This class covers these topics in a very light way that is age-appropriate while still teaching the truth about these moments in history.
Our curriculum is based on the Common Core Standards for math and ELA, Next Generation Science Standards, and the Georgia Department of Education for social studies. We will also refer to National Geographic for Kids and Britannica for Kids for articles and information in our science and social studies units.
