Welcome to 3D Shapes! Class will begin with a brief introduction/review of 3D shapes. Students will have opportunity to share what they know after we review the names of the shapes We will talk about the names and components of each shape (edges, vertices and faces) We will work on the Shapes building activity available in the classroom (Students will need play-doh, marshmallows or clay and toothpicks to complete the activity) Throughout class we will talk about the shapes and their components. There will be lots of opportunity to ask questions and practice their communication skills with the other learners.
