What if your drawing could jump out from the paper? Well, with this 3D shading course, each of my students can experience this for themselves. In this class, we will explore the basics of drawing and shading both a 3D square and rectangle. 
We will explore how to shade from dark to light, and discuss how perspective effects how we draw our shape. And don't worry! No one has to draw an absolutely perfect shape. The goal is not perfection. The goal is to understand the basics of creating light and shadow, and how these two elements come together. 
Each student needs a pencil, eraser, ruler, and preferably sketching paper. (Any blank paper can be used if sketching paper is not available.) We will begin by drawing a basic shape, and then we will add shading to create depth and dimension. I will be demonstrating the techniques with my students and working right along with them. 
Art is about self expression and learning, and I hope to create a fun, interactive environment where students can develop a love for drawing while learning a new skill.
