200 分鐘的拼字樂趣

In this 20 minute class, your child will get to spend time with a certified resource teacher with 23 years experience in the teaching field for 10 weeks! This class is taught in English. This will remain a small group, no more than 4 students at a time. I teach using positive reinforcement and praise. Each week we will focus on different sounds and tricks to remember the spelling of certain words, adding words to a word wall. We will also play small games like a word search. Students are encouraged to interact with other students and participate actively in class. These classes are perfect for students with a short attention span as they are quick and effective. 
 
This is a list of what students will be learning each week:

Week 1: spelling sight words like he, she, they, me, has, why and more 
Week 2: let's learn about double vowels like ie, ai and ea and learn a small song to spell them correctly 
Week 3: spelling words with the th sound like thunder, that, moth, path
Week 4: let's learn about ch and sh words like shed, dish, chime and match
Week 5: spelling words with the ou or ow sounds like cow, house and brown
Week 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10: let's practice writing words and short sentences using our word wall and writing prompts

Since the work will be done on a Google Jamboard, I will make students viewers to their documents at the end of each class in order for students to access the word wall and activities but without allowing them to make changes to their work or the work of their peers.
