You've found me! Welcome to my Just for Laughs 101: Character Building class, taught by Nickelodeon and Disney XD's veteran Noland Ammon! That's me, and I am thrilled to be teaching what got me on some of the biggest kids' TV shows. 

We'll be covering each and every level of building a strong, believable, HILARIOUS sketch comedy character that breathes life. We'll start with the basics of what makes a scene so funny: the characters! We'll end with a small show-and-tell of the characters we've created. Did I mention how much fun we're going to have?

Some of, but not all of the basics we will cover include: character name, character background (where they're from, their relationship with their parents or siblings, their occupation) and the dialect they speak. 

I will lead by example, and show the learners some specific choices and nuances for each quality you will work on. Then, I will ask each learner for a suggestion. I will encourage them to perform within their chosen quality, and will guide them to insure that they feel confident. 

If it's not fun, why do it? My teaching style comes from 14 years of professional acting experience. I am capable of reaching students on a level that opens up their creative brain. I don't take anything too seriously, and foster collaboration between myself and the students and amongst the students.
