This course is suitable for:
Kindergarteners who are advanced in Math and want to learn more
First graders who want extra practice and support in current school curriculum
Children who are homeschooled
Teaching Method:
Learners are provided with different visual ways of looking at math with the Singapore Bar Models approach. The learning journey begins with the concrete and pictorial stages, followed by the abstract stage to enable them to learn mathematics meaningfully. This approach encourages advanced (higher-order) thinking process, communication of mathematical ideas and problem solving.
Contents are written by Math Educators and Play therapists who have been teaching Singapore Math over 15 years.

Week of 9-Sep 2 Addition & subtraction within 10
Week of 16-Sep 3 Combination and Number bonds, algebra style 10-__=7 / ___-7=3 = identify biggest number in a number sentence
Week of 23-Sep 4 Addition & subtraction word problems - one step, whole and part within 10
Week of 30-Sep 5 More than / Less than questions - comparison model within 10
Week of 7-Oct 6 More than / Less than questions + think out of the box
Week of 14-Oct 7 addition within 100
Week of 21-Oct 8 subtraction within 100

About our Visible Thinking Math classes:
In our technology-driven society, Mathematics is undoubtedly essential in education because it is the foundation of all sciences and technology. We believe helping children mastering Mathematical skills will build a solid foundation for their future. We aim to inspire children to become innovators and creative problem solvers so that they can pursue their dreams.
Our Methods:
Students are provided with different visual ways of looking at math including the world-renowned Singapore bar modelling approach. The learning journey begins with the concrete and pictorial stages, followed by the abstract stage to enable them to learn mathematics meaningfully. This approach encourages advanced (higher-order) thinking process, communication of mathematical ideas, and problem-solving.
Our teachers:
We're a group of passionate educators who have Mathematics and/or Science related degrees and passed the Mentorhood Teacher Training which specialized in online teaching and the Singapore Bar Modelling method.

**Attendance & Absence Policy**
Planned Absence: Families inform us at least 24 hours before class, the class will be refunded or rescheduled. Teacher will not be paid for that refunded class.
Sick Leave: Families inform us at least 24 hours before class, the class will be refunded or rescheduled. Teacher will not be paid for that refunded class.
If 24 hours in advance is not possible, that sick leave will be taken as an emergency.
Emergency: Families inform us as soon as possible before class, the class will be refunded or rescheduled. Teacher will not be paid for that refunded class.

If your learner has not joined the meeting 10 minutes after the class’s start time, the meeting will be canceled. This is considered a missed meeting and you are not entitled to a refund.
