The Write Source series empowers students to craft better sentences, paragraphs, and essays, serving as a vital resource for enhancing writing skills across diverse levels. 

Designed for a wide range of learners, Write Source offers a structured approach to the writing process, integrating grammar, style, and practical writing tasks. It includes model texts and graphic organizers to support skill development, focusing on expository, persuasive, and narrative writing to prepare students for academic success while fostering creativity and confidenc

Closely following the guidance in the Write Source series, your child will receive personalized tutoring and private lessons focused on strengthening their writing abilities and addressing their individual needs.

I specialize in the following specific topics and themes:

1. Sentence and Paragraph Mastery: Building clear, cohesive sentences and structured paragraphs.

2. Essay Development Skills: Crafting effective introductions, body paragraphs, and conclusions.

3. Academic Writing Proficiency: Emphasizing formal tone, organization, and evidence-based arguments.

4. Creative Storytelling Techniques: Developing narratives with vivid descriptions and character depth.

Each class will continue from the page covered in the previous lesson, ensuring steady progress. As you approach your test or assignment deadline, we will shift our focus to targeted practice, emphasizing all the necessary writing skills or those you wish to prioritize.

My teaching style is structured yet engaging, using a student-centered method that combines clear explanations, interactive writing exercises, and personalized feedback to build confidence and proficiency. Lessons incorporate Write Source’s process-based approach, grammar integration, and model texts to inspire creativity and reinforce learning.

This course leverages the Write Source series, ideal for learners seeking to improve their writing across a range of abilities, from low-level to advanced. It is not for absolute beginners; a Lexile score of around 600 (CEFR A1-B2) is recommended to ensure students can benefit fully.

Lessons are designed for students aged 6-18 (Grades 1-12), particularly those preparing for academic writing tasks, seeking to enhance their essay and creative writing skills, or aiming to meet specific writing goals for school or exams.

We will primarily work on exercises from the Skills Books in class. If your child needs extra support with the exercises, we may refer to the Write Source books for additional guidance and model examples.

Many exercises in the Skills Books conclude with extension activities that provide follow-up practice, helping your child reinforce and apply the writing skills they have learned.
