Your student will need plenty of writing paper and two sharpened pencils with erasers for each class. 
It is recommended your student keep a journal (spiral bound or composition style notebook) to work in each class. 

Sometimes I will provide graphic organizers or other printable activities for your student to use in class that will need to be printed prior to our meeting. I will always link these in the classroom ahead of time, alerting you I have provided supplemental materials. 

*If your student is more comfortable typing, I am fine with them using a tablet or other device to write during class time as long as the device is used for writing purposes only throughout our session. 

In this ongoing, twice a week class, students will receive 1:1 private tutoring in writing and language arts skills based upon their needs. Parents will communicate the desired focus for our time together, and the ability level of their child, allowing me to meet the student right where they are at, and support them in their creative writing journey. Classes will be structured around the needs skills, and goals of the student with support, encouragement, and engaging experiences. 

**It is highly recommended your student take this class in a quiet environment, free from distractions, so they are able to focus on their thoughts and creative writing.
