These sessions can be customized based on the needs of your learner.  A "pre-tutoring assessment" can take place, you can send me the goals they need to work on or I can start assessing in our first session to help determine the best goals to work on.  The structure of the class will fluctuate slightly based on the topics we need but in general, I am a casual, discussion-based teacher.  I give examples, support as needed, and love to play games. I do not lecture.  I also love to incorporate high-interest areas and personal learning styles.  It is best if the student takes the class in a quiet environment so they can remain unmuted for full participation.  

Weekly tutoring sessions can also include checking homework and/or creating customized lessons for additional instruction and practice to go with what they are working on with their school or homeschool curriculum.  Sessions can be for math, reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, or multiple subjects.  Some possible examples are completing book studies, or full curriculum options for one or multiple subjects.  The age range is set as 5-10 because Outschool only allows a 5-year age range.  If you have a child outside of these ages that needs tutoring please contact me to let me know what your child needs to work on and confirm that they can be signed up for these sessions, I have experience with preschool-age children all the way up to adults depending on their needs.  

Days/times can be custom scheduled and multiple sessions per week can be arranged to fit your individual needs.  Also, if your child has friends/classmates that want to do small group sessions (on the same goals), I can create group lessons or "study halls" to support their needs.
