The Zones of Regulation is an award-winning social emotional learning series that has been adopted across thousands of mainstream classrooms worldwide. - Students will learn how to identify their emotions and how to organize their feelings into the appropriate zone and what that means for them. In this class, we will discuss coping skills that are age appropriate and manageable for your child in any setting ie; school, home, family outings.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have my Masters in social work. I have been in the social work field for 8 years and have experience teaching SEL classes. I enjoy writing curriculum for SEL material and making my own handouts. I also do private practice therapy and work with all ages. I love the work I do and am excited to be on Outschool!
This class can be differentiated for all learners and their needs. Please reach out after enrollment and let me know what kind of learner your child is and their specific needs are.
After enrollment I send out an outline detailing your child's class Handouts will be sent at least 24 hours prior to class so you and your student can look over the materials and print it out if desired. Something to write with is usually needed but never mandated. We can always just discuss materials and not all learners like to write, so no worries!
I am a mental health professional with a clinical license in social work and my masters in social work however this class is not intended to provide mental health services. I do not provide therapy to my students and all of my material is educational based only. These classes should not be used as a substitution for mental health therapy or help from a mental help professional. IF your child reports anything that is a safety concern to their health or others I am a mandated reporter and will keep you informed of my concerns and will need to report concerns to outschool.
