In this class students will learn the beginning phonetic sounds of the alphabet to prepare them to read. The letter sounds that will be taught are B, F, M, K, R, T, P, J, H, S, N, D, C, L, G, W, Y, V, Z, Q, X. Students will complete activities in class with teacher using screen sharing and annotating on the screen to help show the teacher what the student is understanding. Also we will be using interactive games sites like: nearpod.com, kahoot, blooket, and gimkit to help students practice...

I am a homeschool parent of 20+ years. I have a Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning with technology. I have taught grades K-12 in the 20+ years I have been homeschooling. I have a desire to teach each individual student at their speed and help them find a way to learn that is encouraging and fun to them.

Parental guidance are encouraged because of the age of the student. We will use nearpod, kahoot, gimkit, blooket for online games reinforcing what was learned in class. No email is required to play these games, a link and/or code will be provided in class to join in the games.
