For this class, the main objective is to review and practice math skills and concepts that will be likely to appear on the CAASPP test for grades 4-8. The learner should be currently enrolled in 4ht-8th grade and be scheduled to take the CAASPP test in the spring. Below is a list of concepts we can go over in this class as time allows. The more meetings we have, the more concepts we will be able to cover.

•4th grade: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide with multi-digit whole numbers, Place value, Fraction equivalence and ordering, Converting between fractions and decimals, Factors and multiples, Measurement conversions, Creating and interpreting line plots, Angle measurement, Geometric vocabulary (parallel, perpendicular, intersecting, acute, obtuse, right, and shape classification), Solving multi-step word problems and interpreting the results
•5th grade: Decimal Place Value, Powers of Ten, Operations (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) with multi-digit whole numbers, decimals to the hundredths place, fractions, and mixed numbers, Volume of cubes, rectangular prisms, and compound figures, Writing and evaluating numerical expressions (order of operations), Convert between units of measurement (customary and metric), Line plots, Coordinate plane, Classification of triangle and quadrilaterals
•6th grade: Ratios and Unit Rates, Percent,Division with Fractions and Mixed Numbers, Integers and Rational Numbers, Coordinate Plane, Evaluate exponents and numerical expressions (order of operations), Solve one-step algebraic equations, Operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) with decimals, GCF (Greatest Common Factor) and LCM (Least Common Multiple), Area, Surface Area, and Volume of Polygons, Data Analysis (mean, median, mode, and range)
•7th grade: Proportional Relationships, Operations (Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide) with Rational Numbers (Positive and Negative Fractions and Decimals), Algebraic Expressions and Equations, Geometry, Probability, Percent
•8th grade: Exponents, Square and Cube Roots, Scientific Notation, Proportions, Slope and Linear Equations, Systems of Equations, Pythagorean Theorem, Volume, Equations, Transversal of Parallel Lines
