🎵 Flute Anatomy - putting the instrument together and learning the names for each part 🎵 Flutist Setup - hand position, embouchure (shape of lips), and body posture 🎵 Tone - creating a consistent beautiful sound, vibrato 🎵 Technique - proper fingerings for each note, playing a variety of scales, etc. 🎵 Articulation - using the tongue to start the sound 🎵 Reading Music - rhythm, treble clef staff 🎵 Sight Reading - the ability to play music as you read it for the first time 🎵 Solo Repertoire - songs to prepare over a long time for a performance 🎵 Etudes - short songs assigned to prepare within a week or two for lessons 🎵 Performance anxiety - how to cope with nerves 🎵 Confidence - building pride in our hard work Extras: ➕ Student Choice Songs - If there is a song that your student really wants to learn, I can help make that happen! ➕ Ensemble Music Practice - If the student needs help to learn their ensemble music for school, clubs, etc., we can work on it!
