Welcome to my classroom! I have taught English online as a second language for 3 years. I am also TESOL certified. In this ongoing class, ESL learners can practice speaking English individually with an experienced online ESL teacher. This class can be used to practice conversation, or focus on a specific skill (such as reading, grammar, phonics, etc). If a learner has something specific they would like to practice or improve on, please message me with your request at least 24 hours prior to the start of each class. If a learner would like to practice their conversational skills by conversing about their own topic of choice for the entire length of class, they are welcome to do that as well. If learners would like to follow an established curriculum, that is also an option. I am a patient and accommodating teacher, and I will work hard to help your child practice their English skills. I look forward to seeing your child in the classroom!

While each class is individually based, I have materials made on Canva that I sometimes use during class.
If a learner decides that they want to go through a curriculum, I will be using Crystal Clear ESL.

Hello, my name is Emily! It's nice to meet you!
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development in 2018. For the past three years, I have been an online teacher teaching English as a second language to over 1,500 students ages 3-15. I am also TESOL certified. By teaching English as a second language, I have also been able to teach many reading, grammar, math, and social studies concepts.
I plan on continuing to teach English as a second language, as this is a topic that I am passionate about. I would also like to teach classes on a variety of different topics such as running, hiking, and anything Disney. It is wonderful to have the opportunity to teach about the things I love!
I believe that learning should be a positive, engaging experience. My goal is for all students in my class to gain knowledge and confidence in new things in an exciting, interactive way.
As mentioned before, I love baking, hiking, running, and anything related to Disney. I also love traveling and reading. I have run 7 half marathons, and my favorite thing to bake is chocolate chip cookies. I look forward to seeing your child in my classroom!
