Level 5 of our ESL Curriculum is designed for teenagers and young learners who have either completed Levels 1 through 4 or have a basic knowledge of the grammar and vocabulary introduced in the first four levels. As a result, Level 5 will expand on what they already know and introduce them to expressing more complex ideas through the following topics:

The future tense with will/won’t

Personal descriptions with the question ‘What do/does they/he/she/look like?’

The structure ‘Have you got…?’ within the context of shopping

Getting to know you and countable/uncountable nouns

Dreams and aspirations with focal questions of ‘What do you want to be?’ and ‘What do you want to do?’

Comparative and superlative adjectives

Future tense with ‘going to’ and travel plans

Restaurant scenarios and international foods

Parts of speech

Lesson 6 goes over the material covered in Lessons 1 through 5, while Lesson 12 goes over the material covered in Lessons 7 through 11.

Lesson Structure
Before some controlled practice exercises like gap fills, matching activities, and even error correction, each lesson begins with a presentation of the core grammar structures and vocabulary that will be learned.

In addition, there are a number of opportunities for students to gain invaluable speaking practice through games, randomiser activities and structured dialogues, giving them the confidence to put what they have learned in class into practice.

Vocabulary refresher activities in the review lessons will help students review what they have learned in each block of lessons.
