Is your child struggling on a certain math topic? Do they need help reviewing topics for a test? Did they not do so well on a test and need help understanding why? This tutoring session is the right fit! I currently teach a 3 week course 2 times a week and a 9 week course 1x a week if you are looking for something long term. Topics that can be covered in tutoring (If there is a different topic I do not have listed, please just message me!) Can cover one or multiple topics in a session. Hello! My name is Lauren and I have been teaching for 10 years! I played Division One softball and loved being a collegiate student athlete. I also played basketball up until college. I am a proud mother and a dedicated special education teacher with a passion for fitness, coaching, and reading!
I have my self contained elementary education degree (Kindergarten through 9th grade) with endorsements in ELA, Social Studies, and Special Education. I have a Master's Degree in Special Education (Pre-K through age 21).
I have 9 years experience as a 5th grade special education teacher and 2 years experience as an 8th grade general education ELA teacher. I have tutored reading, math, and writing for a variety of students. I believe in making learning fun and offering a variety of strategies to help students find the tools that fit them best.
