Welcome to The Creative Writing High-School Program- Grades 9 , 10 , 11 and 12 Program Description: -In this class, the student will receive a 1:1 private tutoring session with a qualified teacher. - This program runs throughout the year -This is a hands-on and interactive program geared to boost in students writing skills. Whether your child struggles to write, or is a budding author, this class is perfect for you! In addition to writing every class, students will also receive very thorough feedback for each piece of writing. -We will learn tools and strategies to become better at creative writing. Student's will read and study examples of powerful creative writing and be exposed to a wide variety of creative writing techniques. We will write every class, building excellent writing stamina that will serve your child well in other classes, and beyond. Student’s get to choose what they will write on and unleash their inner creativity while writing on topics of interest! Program Policies: -Please book a time allocated by the teacher. If you would like to meet at a different day or time, please contact us. -Learners will meet once a week for 30-minutes. -It is an individual one-on-one lesson with the instructor. -This is a subscription-based class, so you will be charged every week to save your seat for the following week. -All Ongoing classes have a standard refund policy: "Cancel subscription at any point, no refund for past subscriptions. Payments can be refunded within 24 hours of purchase."

Jennifer Siiskonen
My name is Jennifer and I am a Certified OCT Teacher. I have been teaching for 14 years. I have taught various subjects from Grades 1-12, most recently as a Secondary School Teacher. I am qualified to teach English as a Second Language, French (including Immersion), Geography, Social Sciences and Civics/Careers. I have my TESOL Qualification and have extensive experience teaching international students. I taught Virtual Secondary School during the 2020-2021 school year, where I assisted students’ transitions to the online school model. As I am Guidance Certified, I have been helping students navigate through different academic pathways, while utilizing various strategies and resources to ensure student success.

Creative and versatile English teacher with learner-centered approach, I started my teaching career nine years ago shortly after earning my Master’s in English and Communication degree. With a strong focus towards my student’s learning styles and areas of strengths, I have successfully helped thousands of students of varying age and language ability to achieve their

Students benefit from the fun, engaging and encouraging teaching environment that I create in the classroom as it helps them absorb and retain learned concepts for a longer period of time. I prefer to teach grammar and other concepts by relating them to everyday life to ensure application of theory into practice.
