The focus on this class is composing sentences. We will practice: sentence unscrambling, sentence imitating, sentence combining, and sentence expanding. By playing with sentences from selections like Charlotte’s Web and the Harry Potter series, children will learn to write their own sentences in more effective and interesting ways. The aim of this class is for students to create correct and interesting sentences.
I have taught writing at the very first stages - as a 3-6 year-old Montessori teacher - all the way up to college creative writing courses. I hold a B.A. in English and a M.Ed in Education.
