This ongoing reading tutoring session will be personalized to the needs of the individual learner. No previous experience is necessary. I will contact the parent before class to find out more about the learner's current reading level and needs. During the first lesson, I will assess the learner's ability. The goal of this reading tutoring session is for the learner to progress in his/her reading ability and confidence. It is also my personal goal that all learners will discover the joy of reading.
I love teaching and am grateful to call this my profession for more than 15 years. I have been teaching ESL learners to read for the past 3 years as well as homeschooling my own children. I am an avid reader, and I enjoy helping learners find books they love to read.

No materials are required. However, I will suggest resources that may be helpful to the learner. While no outside work is required, reading for a short time each day will help learners continue to build fluency. Some examples of materials are listed below: -Index cards for phonemes or sight words -Printer to print resources from teacher -Library card to visit and borrow books for practice
