This six package series is geared towards students who are serious in focusing on enhancing their drawing skills; with strong focus on identifying and depicting shadows and lighting, depicting 3 dimensional forms, transitioning between tones and perspective. My approach to teaching is not through line by line instruction of how to draw a subject as I do but offering techniques and suggestions to build upon each students' current individual drawing skills; to strengthen their confidence and still allow them room to explore their own style, process and expand their creativity. Classes are focused on equipping students with tips and techniques that they can continue to apply to their future drawings rather than walking them through a line by line finished product. I use power points as a tool to present these ideas. While I do use live drawing to assist in demonstrating techniques and clarifying specific instruction, I use slides to give students an idea of where we are going and offer bullet point tips.

Students will improve their understanding of drawing 3D forms
Students will improve their understanding of drawing in perspective.
Students will practice using a full range of tones within their drawings and transitioning between them smoothly
Students will gain a better understanding how the location of light source impacts the shading of their subjects.

Hi Everyone,
My name's Sarah (aka Ms. Sarah) I'm an art, yoga and fitness instructor. I'm a recently published author and illustrator. My bachelor's degree in Art / Theatre and my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have over 10 years experience working with children from 2 year olds to middle schoolers in a variety of settings, teaching a variety of subjects.
I use power points as a tool to present concepts and techniques in addition to follow along lessons.
Students will be checked in with regularly and encouraged to speak up about any questions they have along the way. I also encourage students to hold up their work during their process. While I understand and respect if they do not feel comfortable doing so; I am best able to help students who do.評論
