With one-on-one handwriting sessions, lessons will be customized to the learner so we can focus on areas of difficulty. Any combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers will be reinforced depending on your needs. We can also focus on print, cursive, or a combination of the two styles. Using lined paper will produce the best results, but is not required. We can also use a dry erase board.

I have been trained in the award-winning Handwriting Without Tears method of handwriting and use a similar philosophy in my teaching. My multisensory approach to handwriting is more than practicing with paper and pencil. Learners are taught to form the letters based on simple shapes--lines and curves--and by letter placement on the writing lines. These concepts will be reinforced throughout the class.
