Students will learn and/or reinforce reading and writing skills to grow as a learner as documented by informal and formal assessments in this ongoing class.

General Education and Special Education Teacher with 10+ years experience teaching face to face and online students.  Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Special Education.  Specific course instructors by University professors in all areas of Special Education (including but not limited to dyslexia, gifted, LD, EI, ADHD, ADD).  Background knowledge in Road to Reading and Bookworms intervention benefit children of giftedness and dyslexia by tailoring to their unique needs Published children's book author.  Curriculum developer.  Academic data evaluator.

Students maybe be given a worksheet or passage that supports what they worked on in the class to complete on their own time.  It will be short and take about 15 minutes to complete.  Students are encouraged to read and write between classes!  This is optional.

Informal assessments are completed while the student is learning for the instructor to adjust the learning as needed in the class.  Formal assessments are used to progress monitor the student every 4-6 classes to share growth and/or areas of concerns with the families.
