This is a 1-on-1 personalized tutoring session. After enrolling in this course, please contact me with your goals for this class. This will help me to prepare for our time together. We will begin class with a review of the previous week. I will ask the student questions about his/her week including the successes and struggles. We will discuss the student's schedule and what tools he/she is using to manage his/her time and responsibilities. Then, based on the student's needs, I will...
Students will learn to become independent, life-long learners. They will learn skills to study effectively and manage their own time. They will also learn how to access help and resources when needed.
I have taught a wide range of students in formal and informal settings. I have taught study skills, time management, notetaking, and other life skills as part of my Advisory class and my AVID class in the high school setting.
