Tutoring will have a Personalized Focus: We will launch into areas you and your learner deem needing extra attention—be it homework challenges, test preparations, or a desire for extended learning. 2. Contact Me: Prior to our first class, let's connect! We'll discuss your learner's needs and set clear learning goals for our sessions. 3. First-Class: Our initial session is to review your learner's needs and goals, to build a solid foundation for our journey together. 4. Resource Flexibility: Choose class resources or materials you already have so learning of standards is the focus not the learning of new formats of material. 5. Homework and Beyond: Homework or additional resources can be assigned, promoting continuous learning, but as noted in the class is not an absolute p part of the class. Additional work will depend on the individual student and parental desire.

The learner will focus on all of the basic skills within the English Language Arts standards based on your state, grade and need.
The Student will Respond to Reading with the Use of Writing Prompts.
The Student will Use Context Clues for Word Meanings within Text.
The Student will Identify Main Ideas and Supporting Details within Text.
The Student will Learn Basic Editing and Proofreading skills.
The Student will identify Parts of Speech, Phrases, and Clauses to Strengthen their Sentence Structure.

Teacher by day and writer by night. I hold a Montessori Elementary Certificate, and have masters degree in English Language Learning from Arizona State University. My certification is in grades 6-12 with areas of study in writing, social studies, and theater. I have been in the classroom for twenty years, with this year being virtual. My philosophy is simple...follow the child currently and what do they need to attain their goals. My desire is to get you where you need to be in writing, history, or perfecting the perfect monologue for your next audition. I am married and have one son and one grandson.
