Bonjour!, I am Miss Kim and I am hosting this group just for Miraculous Fans! This is a place for fans of the super crime-fighting duo Ladybug and Cat Noir to meet and chat about your favorite episodes, their friends, kwamis, and of course those we detest, such as Hawkmoth and Lila. Kids ages 10- 14 are welcome to join our group. This is a place where you can share your opinions on your favorite characters and episodes. In addition, you will be able to share your artwork ( I love seeing your art!) and thoughts on what’s going on with the new season. You are able to participate in the group chat at any time to share what’s on your mind or join a fun challenge or answer a trivia question. Trivia Question: How many countries are you able to watch Ladybug defeat Hawkmoth in? (answer found below) Why Join a Group? It's interactive! This group will be a place where Miraculous fans can share photos/videos of their growing kwami collections, newly acquired Miraculous Figures, and fan art with fans from around the world to see! Fans can post and comment at a time that is convenient for them. We do not have a set class day or time of attendance. Each member will also have the chance to comment about each post by adding kindly worded opinions or compliments. Is this a learning group? We have the chance to learn from each other and Miss Kim as they share fun facts about the Miraculous show. One of the reasons I like the Miraculous show is that we can learn about other cultures and friendships as we watch each episode. By joining this monthly chat and share group with me, you are able to communicate with other fans from around the world that share a common interest. After all, did you know that Miraculous is viewed in over 120 countries?! Because this group is monitored by Miss Kim, fan privacy and safety are always a focus. How Does Miss Kim Communicate With Fans? I will be hosting this group as a moderator. The moderator creates posts with typed messages. Kahoot! Trivia games will be posted at least once a month. As the group host and moderator, I will make regular posts each week. If a fan needs my attention to their post, I can be tagged to direct me to the post. What else is there to do? This group will follow the interests of the fans. Each week we will have a new topic of discussion, but fans are always free to post their own interests or ideas, as long as they stay on the topic of Miraculous!

I believe that students need to see the personal side of the world. When students begin to see a unique story in a history or science lesson, they become engaged and learn.
Learners need to see the relevance of what they learn. Then, they become eager to learn more. While I am a "trained teacher," I am also a lifelong learner. Because of this, I joined every teaching summer internship I was offered. I've enjoyed working with the SC Forestry Service, Oakridge Laboratory in Tennessee, and the National Archives in DC. Currently, I am working on a research project with the US Library of Congress. I believe these experiences have helped me connect with real-world events, science, and history, which, in turn, helped me be a better teacher.
When I cannot travel, I'm working on my first young adult historical fiction book or reading about where I want to travel next. I speak French and love to travel to countries where I can immerse myself in the language. I have had the opportunity to travel to several European and Caribbean areas. Some of my favorite vacations have been to historical locations: the D-Day beaches, Churchill's war rooms, castles in Scotland, and WWI trenches in Belgium.
Reading is critical in learning, and I encourage writing in most history and science lessons. I have been teaching for over 20 years. My educational background is in working with early childhood through high school-age students. My first years of teaching were in a preschool-age classroom. For the past 15 years, I have taught at the middle school level (general science, world history, French) in a public classroom. I quickly realized that I needed to become a reading teacher of science and history if my learners were successful. I have two master's degrees in education.
I look forward to meeting you in class.
