CLASS DESCRIPTION In this self-paced class, students will learn how to speak basic Spanish. I will post 2 videos each week (approx. 15 minutes) for you and your learner to watch. You can watch at your own pace or watch it weekly. If you choose weekly, Monday mornings I will post a vocabulary lesson and Wednesday mornings I will post a review lesson. This is the perfect class for a student just starting out with Spanish. We will sing songs 🎵 and learn through visuals, repetition, ASL and kinesthetic movements. Through using multiple intelligence strategies, students are engaged and it makes learning fun and more effective. We will make videos of ourselves, play I have.. who has games, read books, color, do skits, go on scavenger hunts, and reinforce what we learn in our workbook. This a self-paced class and there are NO LIVE MEETINGS. Self-paced classes are great for young children who get easily distracted, need more time to complete a task, or just aren't ready for a live class yet. They are also great for those learners/parents that have busy schedules and need a more flexible schedule. You can watch the videos/ do the activities at whatever time is convenient for you. In this beginner Spanish class your child will learn: - Pets, Greetings/ Farewells - Colors - Numbers - Fruits - Veggies - Food - Family - Clothing - Farm animals - Toys This class will start off with 30% Spanish and 70% English. Starting off at this ratio will slowly ease their way into learning a foreign language without becoming overwhelmed right away. We will slowly change this ratio as the class progresses. This class does not require your learner to know any Spanish. Learning Spanish will reinforce your child's own language. The best time to learn a foreign language is at this age; their brain is designed for learning language. Learning a foreign language will enhance your child's English skills and will allow them to advance faster in their own language. By the end of the course, your learner will be able to say many words and sentences in Spanish. I look forward to teaching your son or daughter. I hope to see you soon! Hasta pronto! Pets, Greetings/ Farewells
Students will start their Spanish journey by learning basic greetings and farewells, such as hola (hello), adiós (goodbye), and buenos días (good morning). They will also learn common pet names like perro (dog), gato (cat), and pez (fish). Through songs, movement, and repetition, students will practice introducing themselves and saying goodbye. 레슨2:

Students will explore colors in Spanish, including rojo (red), azul (blue), verde (green), and more. They will complete hands-on activities such as coloring exercises, scavenger hunts, and interactive videos to reinforce vocabulary. 레슨3:
Numbers
This lesson focuses on counting from 1 to 20 in Spanish. Students will use movement, music, and games like “I Have… Who Has?” to reinforce number recognition and pronunciation. 레슨4:
Fruits
Students will learn common fruit names in Spanish, such as manzana (apple), banana (banana), and naranja (orange). They will participate in fun activities like a pretend fruit market and practice saying which fruits they like and dislike. 그 외 세부 사항

I was born and raised in the beautiful state of South Dakota and have always had a deep love for language, culture, and education. As a mom, wife, published author, teacher, and travel agent, I bring a unique and engaging perspective to my Spanish classes.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Education from South Dakota State University (SDSU), where I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad multiple times in Spanish-speaking countries. These immersive experiences not only strengthened my fluency but also deepened my understanding of the rich cultural diversity within the Spanish-speaking world.
With 12 years of teaching experience, I began my career in a brick-and-mortar classroom, teaching Spanish to students of various ages and levels. For the past seven years, I have been a virtual Spanish teacher, making language learning accessible and engaging for students across the globe. In addition to teaching, I serve as a teacher mentor, where I support and guide other World Language educators.
Beyond the classroom, I am a passionate traveler, having visited 28 countries. My extensive travels have significantly enriched my teaching, allowing me to incorporate real-orld cultural experiences into every lesson. I believe that learning a language is more than just memorizing vocabulary—it’s about understanding and appreciating the people, traditions, and history behind it.
Through my flexible Spanish classes, I strive to create an immersive, interactive, and fun learning experience for young learners. By incorporating music, movement, games, and cultural insights, I make language acquisition engaging, natural, and effective. I look forward to helping your child embark on their Spanish-learning journey!
