Students will learn the process for writing, editing, and self-publishing a novel. Students will achieve writing goals. Students will learn and practice writing mechanics, grammar, and other similar skills.
I am an independent, self-published author who as published two books so far. I have been writing for over 15 years in a variety of avenues. I have been an author mentor for 2 years and an educator for writing classes for over 5 years.

Each week, learners will be given 2-3 goals to complete based on the class focus. These goals will typically include: a word count goal, an overall writing goal, and a writing practice goal. Students will be using Google Docs to share writing. Google searches will be used on occassion to help with visualizing and understanding various concepts. As we enter the self-publishing stage, we will be visiting Amazon KDP to review publishing requirements - if students choose to pursue self-publshing, an account will be needed with this site.
