Learn all about World War II in North Africa and the back and forth nature of the combat in that area. Supplying the troops was the name of the game here, and there were several other interesting factors as well. The structure will include one immersive session which will cover the events leading up to the fighting resulting in the final battle - El Alamein. The session will cover:

Mussolini: North African conquest
Who occupied what countries in North Africa at the start of the fighting
The importance of North Africa - Why was there fighting there in the first place?
The Italian vs. the British Army: Equipment, vehicles, and morale
Early British and Italian defeats
Why the Germans entered the North African campaign
Generals: Rommel vs. Montgomery
What fighting and living in the desert was like
The Americans enter the battle
El Alamein: the final battle of the war in North Africa

I teach by using slides, original photographs, video clips, discussions and more. There will be several question/answer periods during the session to address questions and comments. Some prior knowledge of WWII helpful, but not a must. As the teacher, I will be dressed in an original WWII uniform for the session.
