Step into the writer’s room!

In this WWE creative writing class, learners will draft a wrestling roster made from superstars past and present. We'll have to create the rivalries, plan the matches, write the shows, and script the promos for four weekly TV shows (RAW/ SmackDown) all leading up to our Premium Live Event. This class should be a ton of fun and great for working on writing, planning, organization, strategic thinking, problem solving, and more! Great for fans who love WWE, imaginative writing, and thinking like a creative team!




***CLASS STRUCTURE***
We use slides to guide each class in a smooth and organized way. Each class starts with the Team Meeting and Life Lesson of the Day. You can read more about those on my teaching profile but they are great for community building. The Ice Breaker questions change each week and are a fun way to get everyone talking. 

We use a slideshow to guide our discussion. I am constantly evolving my classes and trying to make them better. This is a sample class format.

***CLASS INSPIRATION***
When I was 12 years old and started watching wrestling I remember my dad saying "Joseph, don't become obsessed with wrestling." It was too late. I was hooked. Now I'm a teacher who, yes, still loves wrestling. I have been to dozens of WWE events including WrestleMania 32, WrestleMania 38, and WrestleMania 40. I found a way to combine my passion for wrestling with my passion for teaching by using Outschool. It has been really fun creating new slides each week that my students will enjoy. I have also found this as a great way to boost students self-confidence. Sometimes it's just good to know there are other people that like wrestling out there. Getting to build relationships and help guide young people in some small way down a path of success is pretty cool. the Wrestling Talk Team was going strong when I thought to myself how fun it would be to plan weekly shows with my students and be just like the writers of WWE. As I got to thinking more about it I realized it would be GREAT for so many other things. This is a favorite among our students for sure!
