In this class, your learner will get one-on-one assistance in essay writing. The exact subjects will vary, based on the needs of each individual student. For example, your learner may need help formulating a thesis or outlining a paper before writing - or perhaps the essay is complete, and your learner just needs a grammar review before submitting. I would be glad to help! Together, we will not only create a stronger paper, but we will learn strategies that your learner can carry forward to become a stronger, more competent writer in the future.

I have extensive experience as a college writing tutor, assisting learners ranging from high-school students writing personal statements for college applications, to PhD candidates looking to refine their theses before submission. Also, I have worked with students on a recurring basis, beginning with pre-writing exercises, and carrying through a final citation check when the paper is almost ready for submission. I also have personal experience writing a wide range of material, including creative writing (fiction and poetry), essay writing for science, philosophy, and law, and legal writing as a former attorney.
