This class is a perfect extension of our Writing the IEW Way: A Semester Long Writing Course for Building Writing Skills for those who are familiar with IEW writing or have taken this class already and are ready for more skills.  This class takes IEW writing a step further, building on each writing genre.
  
Each week will focus on a specific writing structure and a specific writing skill, whether it be a dress up, sentence starter, decoration, or extension.  We will work on the writing structure in class, creating a plan for writing so learners can use their time outside of class to write.  The 2nd class of the week focuses on writing style, equipping learners with different techniques that add to their writing. 

What we will do:
✅review narrative, summary, and writing from pictures units
✅add techniques to writing structures such as setting the scene or 3 paragraph summary writing for enhancing writing pieces.  
✅ review dress ups and sentence starters
✅ take a look at using decorations and extensions in writing to further add to our writing repertoire.
