Objective 1: After reviewing the steps in the writing process, the students will identify and label a paragraph with the correct writing steps. Objective 2: After examining examples of the purposes for writing, students will match a list of written products with their purpose (to entertain, to persuade, to explain, to inform). Objective 3: Students will read a paragraph written for a young audience and revise the paragraph to be more appropriate for young readers using five guiding questions.
