Kids love poetry! It is an amazing tool to help develop a variety of literacy skills. Poetry promotes phonological awareness and helps with fluency and intonation in reading. In this class, students will learn about how to write poetry. They will use their wonderful imaginations to write their very own poems. We will learn about poetry and read many author poems. There will be discussions about poetry and write a poem each week. Students do not need to be proficient in writing poetry. This class will support all learners at different levels. We will have many hands on experiences during this class. Please look at the synopsis to further understand this class. We will have so much fun!
