Join this ongoing "WRITE LIKE A PRO! Playwriting and Screenwriting made easy!" class, perfect for learners aged 9-12, where you can drop in whenever you can and learn how to create your own amazing scripts. Each week, we dive into different parts of the writing process with fun and engaging themes. About Me: I am a professional playwright and screenwriter with a knack for educating others to do what I do! In this class, learners will have the opportunity to bring their ideas to life! Here’s a sample of what you can expect: ⇢ Week of September 2: Creating Captivating Characters ⇢ Week of September 9: Building Exciting Plots ⇢ Week of September 16: Crafting Realistic Dialogue ⇢ Week of September 23: Exploring Different Genres The class includes interactive lessons, games, slides, and video clips, along with plenty of chances to talk, share, and get feedback. My teaching style is fun and encouraging, helping you grow your creativity while guiding you through each step of writing. You'll get to interact with me through group discussions, activities, and personalized feedback during our writing sessions. By the end, you'll feel confident and excited to see your stories come to life on stage or screen! While there is no previous experience required for this course, students will be expected to write at at least a 3rd grade level.
