수업 소개
In this one-time class, students will engage in fun and educational word games and thought-provoking Would You Rather games! Fun games include word tic-tac-toe, snowman game (hangman game), and word games from Baamboozle.com, ABCya!, and more. I will also have some fun thought-provoking Would You Rather style of questions. My teaching style involves allowing the student to share and talk as much as possible. I encourage students to ask questions. Please be sure your student is capable of paying attention and participating for 25 minutes before signing up your student for the class. Your student should also know letter sounds/phonics as this course is intended to help improve their word knowledge. They should be able to read basic sentences like, “I see animals.” If you do not see a day or time that works for your child, please message me and I will see if I can open a slot that works for you. Attendance Policy: Please be aware that I follow Outschool's attendance policy. Please be sure the time you sign up for will work for you as I am not always able to switch it afterward as my schedule is usually fairly full. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me. I hope to meet your learner soon!

I am an elementary school counselor with 18 years of experience. I also teach on other online platforms - VIPKID, Cambly, and Zebra English. During my school counseling career, I've taught many topics in classrooms including self-esteem, coping skills, anger management, social skills, and more. I've also had the pleasure of running clubs based on topics of dinosaurs, unicorns, math, writing, and much more! Being able to share my interests with my students is a luxury!
In Outschool, some of the classes I plan on teaching will include topics on dinosaurs, unicorns, self-esteem, mindfulness, relaxation, coping skills, anger management, social skills, K-2nd grade math, and writing. I truly enjoy teaching these topics and look forward to working with your student!
My teaching style is interactive and learner-focused. I often use power points, stories I've written, discussions, and games in my lessons! I believe that teaching should not only help students learn about the topic being taught but that it should also be engaging and fun!
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading, playing with my son and our dog, exercising, and traveling. I believe life is meant to be lived and enjoyed to the fullest!리뷰
