I’ve always loved to travel and wanted to create a course where I can share my passion with others. In this course, students will travel to different countries around the world every week. We will discuss geographical location, language, food, currency, music, and landmarks. 

We will “travel” to these countries and learn about them as if we were actual tourists there. Sometimes we will make decisions based on the options available. We will also learn to say "hello" in every language. 

These are the six countries that we will be learning about in this course:

Week 1- Switzerland: Let’s eat some tasty chocolate and hike though the mountains. 
Week 2- Turkey: Let’s visit some of the most interesting places like Cappadocia and Pamukkale. 
Week 3- China: Someone was digging a well and found the Terracotta Warriors. Let’s learn more about them. 
Week 4- Botswana: Ready for a safari?
Week 5- Peru: Ever heard of sand boarding? Let’s give it a try!
Week 6- Canada: Let’s ski in the Rockies and kiss a cod fish out east. 

I will be using slideshows, videos, websites, personal pictures, and handouts (optional) during this course. It’s a small class because so much of the lesson is discussion based. 

I believe that food is a huge part of traveling and wanted to somehow incorporate it into the course. I will send my students a recipe for every lesson. They can choose to make the dish before or after class. I will try to keep them simple so that the ingredients can easily be found. This is also optional.
