수업 소개

영어레벨 - B1
미국 3학년 - 5학년 학년
레벨 Intermediate
Do you want your learner to develop their vocabulary skills and improve their reading fluency? In this ongoing class, your child will learn word attack skills (phonics) and boost their vocabulary skills using a top-rated vocabulary curriculum. They will learn to sound out words and determine their level of understanding of that word. (don't know the word, heard the word but don't know meaning, or can define the word) Then they will be exposed to the word in context to help determine the meaning of the word. Other clues to the word meaning such as affixes, word roots, part of speech and language of origin will be used to help learners discover the meaning. Dictionary skills will then be used to confirm and/or clarify the meaning/s of the word. Each lesson will consist of 15 words that students will discuss and practice spelling. Reading fluency will be developed as students read a passage that focuses on the vocabulary words for that week. Following the passage the students will have opportunity to check their comprehension of the passage. The students will also play Kahoot to check understanding of these vocabulary words.
