This ongoing course is for English learners ages 3 - 8 or beginner ESL. The class will be held once a week. In this course, we will use the Wonders Curriculum Grade K. We will learn vocabulary, phonics, reading, writing and grammar. We will use the Wonders Workshop book. I have transformed the book into a fun, interactive and engaging slideshow with videos, quizzes, homework, music, games and so much more. Your little learner will fall in love with Dr. Moe, Bubbles and Fred as they have fun learning to read and write. The student does not need to have the books themself. I will screenshare the material in class and send any worksheets needed. Parents will be provided a Lesson Outline before each new unit. This is a private, 1 on 1 course, which will allow the student to feel comfortable expressing themself and asking questions. The class will progress at a pace that is comfortable for the student, in order for me to address the student's specific needs. Learning to read and write in English has never been so much fun!! I hope to see your little learner in class. 🥰

Hello! My name is Kandy Bickart and I live in North Carolina, USA. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, an Associate Degree in Biological Science and a TESOL certificate.
I've always had a passion for teaching. I have over 15 years teaching experience both in the classroom and online. I taught in the elementary school level and then became an instructor at my local Community College in the GED and ESL program. I have also enjoyed teaching ESL online to children for the past six years.
BOB CLASSES - I have designed courses for both preschool, elementary ages and ESL students. My courses have unique content with entertaining and informative slideshow. I have included a fun puppet friend named Bob throughout the slideshows, which allows the students to be truly engaged while learning.
READING/WRITING CLASSES - I also have an ongoing reading and writing course with the Wonders Curriculum. I have tried to make it more fun and engaging by presenting it in a slideshow with videos, animations and sound effects. Learning to read and write has never been so much fun!
PHONICS - I have recently added a phonics ongoing course using the Star Curriculum, which uses a fun, interactive and animated slideshow.
SPEAKING CLASSES - I use an effective concept created by Cambridge University that presents a colorful picture with a lot of action going on. This gives a shy student or a student that loves to talk the opportunity to tell me all what they see. I have added some fun activities to keep the student engaged.
READING CLASSES - There are two separate reading course, beginner first grade and mid-year second grade. I have animated the short stories which makes them even more engaging. We learn phonics, reading comprehension and more.
I believe that children learn best in a relaxed but structured environment that encourages them to express themselves. I also feel that children should have fun while they are learning! So FUN is always part of my lesson plan!
