Welcome to Wildlife Science, the Clouded Leopard edition! OBJECTIVE: In this wildlife science class, students will learn important facts about the characteristics, habitat, diet, family life, and the ongoing field work behind the conservation status of the two types of Clouded Leopards found in Asia. - Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of Clouded leopards such as size, features, diet and habitat.
- Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species such as the Clouded Leopard into two subtypes, Mainland and Sunda.
- Students will learn why conservation of Clouded Leopards in Asia is so important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species.
- Students will also learn new vocabulary words related to the study of Clouded Leopards in their Asian habitat.
I have a BA in Elementary Education and my credentials are uploaded to Outschool. I taught classroom science, art and language arts to both preschool and elementary aged students for almost twenty years before coming to the Outschool online platform. As a child, I first developed a strong love of nature and animals through books and hands-on experiences. As a teacher, I'm constantly reading, researching and learning everything I can about wild animal conservation and the natural world.
