Part science, part fun! Calling all animal lovers and anyone who likes to have a good time while learning something new. This class is jam packed with amazing, wild, and cool facts about animals. Even animal experts are sure to learn something new! Students will make connections as they discuss favorite hobbies and interests, before we play our interactive trivia game. This class is as much fun as it informative. You’ll be having so much fun, you’ll forget you are learning. : ) **We will play a fun trivia game together using a separate device, such as a phone or tablet, to answer trivia questions on the Kahoot platform. (Students must go to Kahoot.it on a separate device in order to fully participate and play along during class. Students unable to connect to Kahoot are still welcome to join us, socialize and follow along, but will not have access to the interactive game functions.) Students will test their knowledge and learn an abundance of weird, but true, facts about animals. We will share laughs and enjoyment as we play this educational game. If time allows, we will play the game a second time giving students a chance to beat their original scores and commit some new wild facts to memory. By the end of class, students will be able to share something surprising they learned while playing the game. Come have a wild time! I can’t wait to see you there! *** Younger students may require assistance at home utilizing Kahoot.it from a secondary device until they get the hang of it. Please be prepared to assist your learner if necessary to avoid frustration with the technology.

I am Kelley Pope. Your learners can call me Ms. Kelley. I have a Masters Degree in Education from the University of South Florida, with specializations in general elementary education and exceptional student education. I have been teaching and working with children for 3 decades. I have experience teaching children from pre-school to 12th grade, of varying abilities. I spent the majority of my time in the classroom teaching second and third grade. I have been teaching English online to non-English speakers since 2017, and I am skilled in effective, virtual learning strategies.
Teaching has been my life long passion. I'm an enthusiastic teacher and hope to inspire my students to limitless learning in a positive environment! My interactive classes are engaging, meaningful, and fun. I use multiple strategies to reach and engage different types of learners, making them comfortable and confident in their surroundings to learn and share with ease. I teach through an assortment of oral instruction, demonstrations, slides, activities, games, modeling, discussion, and hands on experiences, ensuring students have every opportunity for engagement and learning. I want each of my students to come away from our classes feeling confident and inspired.
Many of my students greatly benefit from one on one learning to help grow them into confident, happy writers.

A little about me... I am a mom, wife, and teacher. I am a huge animal lover, and have several pets of my own. When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my family outdoors biking, hiking, enjoying the beach or Disney, and exploring new adventures. Movies and game nights are also family favorites! I have a fondness for reading writing, and crafts, as well. I love meeting new students, connecting with others, and sharing the joy of learning.
