Welcome to my cozy little nook in the Outschool realm! Most of the school year, I teach realistic drawing classes. Within these classes many students have formed strong bonds and friendships. Perhaps you are looking for a safe place to meet friends with similar interests??? After 4 years teaching on Outschool, I've decided to create a space to foster those relationships. 

Introducing... My Social Group for "Chatty, Artsy, Friends". This group will meet weekly through July and August 2025 and hopefully into the 2025-2026 school year! 

Each week, we will check in to share "things going on", discuss current events, show artwork we are working on, and chat about anything that needs chatting about! For those rare quiet days, I will have a daily topic planned, where students are invited to add comments, ask questions, or answer some of my questions, to get conversation started. 

To close each class, I will have a short drawing challenge that students can participate in to their comfort level. This can be anything from, "draw your favorite character" to "draw from the reference of a baby elephant", to "show me your wildest doodle!" Conversation may continue through this portion of class as class will be run loosely to create a comfy casual atmosphere. 

You must join class with your camera on at the start but then can choose to stay on or off camera to your comfort level. Chat, emojis, video, and mics are all suitable ways to communicate as long as we stay appropriate, respectful, and "mostly" on task. 

Weekly conversation starter topics may look something like this but are subject to change based on group interests:

Week of July 6-July 12: What is your favorite thing to cook?
Week of July 13-July 19: Have you seen a great movie lately? What was it?
Week of July 20-July 16: What do you do when you do not have school work?
Week of July 27-August 2: You were awards a million dollars. What is the first thing you would do?
