Welcome to your new weekly private voice lessons class! In this class, we will learn age-appropriate vocal techniques which will help your learner understand how to use their voice to create different sounds. The warm-ups are designed to teach the basics of musical theater style of singing as well as classical so they can sing any song they choose to learn. The warm-ups will also help to broaden the range as we learn to hear the difference between head voice and chest voice and can more easily sing through the break. No two learners are alike and although we use the same warm-ups every week, we will be focusing on what your learner needs to work on for their voice to grow and develop. 

After warm-ups, we will begin learning our song of choice. We will sing along to your learner's favorite Disney music videos and pause the video periodically to learn each line of the song. Learning the correct notes to sing is just as important as learning the lyrics but in some learners, especially the younger ones, this can take time as they learn to hear and match pitch. 

Finally, depending on the speed your learner is able to memorize the song, we will have a chance to sing the song on Karaoke. Singing along with Karaoke helps the learner to follow along to the music and rhythm while incorporating the lyrics they have learned. 

I strongly encourage parents to play the song for their learners at least 3 times a week between classes. Repetition and practice is key to learning any musical skill and singing is no exception. Learners can pick any song they would like to work on. Depending on your learner's previous knowledge of the song, it is typical to spend around three to four weeks learning one song, however, we can always switch it up!
