Blooket과 함께하는 주간 곱셈 연습

Fluency in multiplication facts will help students throughout their entire math career, including with fractions, decimals, algebra, trigonometry, and beyond. Gone are the days of rote times tables drills-now there's a fun way to build fluency of math facts! 

Blooket is an online program that allows students to practice their times tables in a friendly game format.  Students will compete together and against other learners in games that will make learning their times tables fun! Blooket offers various game formats that allow students to answer questions for points that they can use to purchase characters, build a tower, buy virtual playing cards, etc. In class, I will send a link to students to open the Blooket game (on their computer or a handheld device if preferred). This class does NOT provide instruction about multiplication and assumes students have an understanding of single digit multiplication. The intent of this class is to help learners gain confidence and improve recall speed of multiplication facts. 

In general, each week we will play two shorter games or one longer game, depending on student preferences. I encourage students to stay unmuted and to interact during class. My role will be to moderate and encourage students. The  games will result in a winner; I encourage friendly competition and good sportsmanship.

We will rotate Blooket games each week, as students prefer, practicing the full times table each week.

This class will be most fun with a minimum of 2 learners. If 2 learners are not enrolled, I may reformat the class for an individual learner or cancel the class, as needed. I offer a 50% sibling discount when learners are enrolled in the same section.
