This is the Outschool equivalent of a regular Algebra study hall, where peers and a competent tutor are together for an hour at a time, able to explain and encourage one another in the pursuit of Algebra. We meet once a week, though you can sign up for multiple sessions if you want more. (We used to meet twice a week, but a majority of students only came once a week, so I've changed the schedule). Students are expected to be taking Algebra somewhere else (or here on Outschool), and this Study Hall is intended to support that. Participation in Algebra Study Hall should improve a student's performance in their Algebra course.
I've tutored Algebra for decades and am comfortable teaching students that "hate math."

Algebra teaches logical thinking skills that can be quite troublesome for the unprepared parent.
