Students will read short stories, analyze the story for plot elements, character/setting, and write their own short story to share.  

I worked for six years as a Waldorf school (K-12) librarian working closely with all class teachers. I am an expert in choosing developmentally appropriate reading and curriculum material for all students.   I am also a reading coach, private reading tutor, and ESL teacher. I love teaching children to read and love to see their immense excitement with their successes! I teach kindy-high school students from all around the world.  I work with students at all levels, struggling to gifted.  My expertise includes finding what makes kids successful so that they want to keep learning.

Writing homework is assigned beginning in week six.  Students will need to work on part of their short story outside of class time.
