Waldorf Inspired - Speech & Learn Concepts Class - Visual Gestalt Learners ABC

🦋 A beautiful Self-Paced Waldorf-inspired self paced class that will help supplement your child's reading and learning journey. The student's age will be no problem as long as the parent or caregiver feels that their child may benefit from the course. Any child of any age is welcome in my class.

🦋 Come join me and all my helpers where all are learners of any age are welcome. This Waldorf-Inspired class is intended to be relaxed and incorporate an imaginative and sensory methodology. The different videos also have a variety of lively music themes. If your child does not enjoy lively music and gets upset please do not enroll your child.

💛This class has unique tunes, cadence, pentatonic melodies, songs with scenes of nature, and the use of varying fast AND slow-paced melodies. It presents the basic concepts for an immersive learning experience to supplement your child's traditional preschool and/or kindergarten school work.

🦋This class also aims to help 3-6 year-olds get acclimated to being online with an instructor. However, if a child is behind on learning their alphabet and all the concepts described they are welcome to enroll and learn in a unique multisensory manner. The focus is learning to glance over to the teacher, interact in their own way, through the screen and glance at what I am teaching. Some children may dance once they get familiar with the various videos as the videos may be shown over again at your leisure.

💛This is a play-and-learn virtual, self-paced class that can be shown again to your little one. I also follow the Montessori concept in that any additional materials that I send have no grading system and are self-grading. Note: this class is not a live class.

🦋 There will be Waldorf soft OR faster paced music, an important element of the Waldorf curriculum. According to Rudolf Steiner, the human being is a musical being, and making music is essential in experiencing what it is to be fully human. Music in the Waldorf curriculum awakens and nurtures the deep inner life of the child. ↶*ೃ✧˚

This class focuses on the 3-6-year-old learner: your super young, bouncy, mile-a-minute inquisitive little human. In Waldorf Early Childhood method of instruction these young learners learn through doing and watching. 🦋 Young children at these young ages live primarily through their senses and learn best through imitation and not necessarily by forcing them to focus on structured tasks at such an early age. 🦋 It is recommended that your child view the videos more than once in order to reinforce the concepts mentioned below. 

Adults will also enjoy watching the beautiful video clips included in the lessons that I created myself. Some of the music will be classical and Celtic themes with breathtaking scenes. Other music will be more faster paced and rhythmic.

I will be wearing a special flower head ornament each week. Cowboy Joe, Avatars w/ my voice & Guest human-like puppets, such as "Tina" & "Teacher Betty" will also "instruct." 🦋

↶*ೃ✧˚Each week you will receive a video lesson for a total of 4 weeks ↶*ೃ✧˚
✅ 1st Week: Learn Alphabet, and Phonics with Avatar Fairy Anne, Dr. Ruth & Cowboy Joe
✅ 2nd Week: Learn numbers & basic concepts of numbers
✅ 3rd Week: Learn basic language concepts - prepositions. These will be by developmental level using speech therapy strategies that I have used as a Speech Language Pathologist.
✅ 4th Week: Learn shapes & shapes of things

↶*ೃ✧˚ The focus will be on imaginative play, creativity, rhythm, and interaction in the child's own terms.

🦋 This is not an intensive structured class, so it is not mandatory for a parent to prompt or cue their child to always be looking at the monitor at me. There is absolutely no need to force them to sit, pay attention, or focus. Let me do the work. I assure you, in time, and with consistency, they will get there as I will repeat the concepts throughout the video in various ways. You also have the added bonus of being able to view the videos over and over again!

We will move through things at a steady pace. The concepts will be very basic and easy to grasp for some students. You may also slow down the video if you like. I will not be teaching concepts that are too hard as I believe that a 3-6 year-old who is "presumed" to be gifted will also benefit from a review of the activities that I present.🦋. 

As a suggestion you may pause the video and point to the concepts to further reinforce the tasks that are being taught. You may also turn down the music or turn it off if you like for those that may get sensory overload if the child has an aversion to faster paced music themes or has been watching other videos or songs prior to watching the videos in this class. Screen time should be monitored and this class works best if the child has not been watching other videos before you show the ones in this class. Each child may react differently and that is up to the parent to monitor their own child since this is a recorded class and it is out of the instructor's control. 

🦋 Much thought was put into the making of this unique class. Keep in mind that the entire video segments for each week does not have to be shown all at once. Also, that this class is a Waldorf-inspired class and does not follow the full extent of the Waldorf methodology.

Each weekly video lesson will incorporate this itinerary for each class (tasks will vary):

💛Welcome to all my learners. Lifelike Puppet Cowboy Joe, Tina, and/or Betty will be joining us to say hello for a wonderful time full of laughs. They just love saying "I love you." Even though I have told them to stop doing that! (3 minutes)
💛Play, Watch, and Smile while learning! 
💛Learn the weekly concept with my avatar, myself, and Cowboy Joe, Tina, or Betty and cool videos & graphics that I made. (3 minutes)
💛Learn the concepts as we continue listening to my lesson. (3 minutes)
💛Reinforce these concepts by rote and/or song. (3 minutes)
💛Magical Time: Beautiful Songs, Dance, Emotions, Feelings, and beautiful short video clips of Waldorf-inspired forests, fairies, and unique sceneries to end the class. (3 minutes)

🦋Please allow your child to bring anything that is comforting to them - a stuffed animal, toy, food, it doesn't matter! Floor play is also encouraged with the monitor close to them. I will teach on the screen monitor while your happy little one watches from afar or near your own monitor. 🦋 

🦋It’s a well-known fact that children are like sponges and that even if your little 3-year-old doesn’t look like they're “paying attention” they are hearing what is going on in their surroundings. Saying their names and speaking slowly to them will also help each student process the information that I am presenting. I intend to do these strategies throughout the class.🦋

🦋 I will be instructing in my quiet room to ensure your child can hear me. Please make sure your child does not have too many loud distractions such as a TV, music, people talking, or other siblings walking around while the "video" class is in session. 

🦋 Make sure that your child has gone to the bathroom and have your child ready to learn! Each video has a charming avatar (with my voice modified) that will introduce the lesson. 

💛 I will teach any child that can benefit from this introductory class. Neurodiverse children are highly encouraged to attend as it is a recorded self paced class that can be shown to them at any convenient time to your schedule. I would love to have your precious child see me teach them along with my human-like large puppets. They are Cowboy Joe, my feisty and very popular Outschool "celebrity puppet", Sweet Tina with the lovely flowers on her head, and Old-fashioned Teacher Betty who gives us a glimpse of how it was "in the good old days" to teach "well-behaved children!" We will all surely have a grand 'ole time! Join us!😀
